How to Store:
The best place to store apples is in the refrigerated
counters! Sliced or cut apples stay white longer if

Banana

Orange

The best-flavored fruit have a yellow tinge when ripe;
however, color may be red, yellow, green, orange or
any combination. When stored properly a mango should
have a shelf life of 1 to 2 weeks. The best way to ripen
a mango is at room temperature.

Papaya

The
fruit is ripe when it feels soft (like a ripe avocado
or a bit softer) and its skin has attained amber to
orange hue. The fruit's taste is vaguely similar to
pineapple and peach, although much milder, creamier,
and more fragrant.

The most common use for papaya is to aid digestion.
Papayas are the only natural source of papain, an effective
natural digestive aid, which breaks down protein and
cleanses the digestive track. They are also good sources

How to store:
To speed up the ripening process, place papaya in a
paper bag with fruits that produce ethylene gas like
apples, bananas or pears, loosely closed for one or
two days.

Pineapple

How to store:
Fresh pineapple is quite perishable. If storing at room
temperature, use within two days. Once trimmed and cut,
be sure the pineapple is covered in juice in an airtight
container, refrigerate and use within five to seven
days. Let the fruit return to room temperature before
serving/ eating to improve flavor.

Pomegranate

Fresh, unopened pomegranates should be kept at room
temperature (out of direct sunlight) for a week or two
and can last in the refrigerator for a month or more.
